Check whether it covers mainland China, works with your exact unlocked phone, includes enough data for your trip, supports hotspot use, and starts its validity when you expect. You should also compare support and refund terms before paying.

For the clearest published plan information, Saily is the easiest of the options below to compare. Klook is more useful when one product needs to cover mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Trip.com offers many package combinations, but some exact terms were not visible during our review, so it is better treated as a marketplace option that requires careful checkout verification.

Saily China eSIM: Clearest Fixed-Plan Information

Saily’s official China page published the most complete set of directly comparable plan, activation, top-up, hotspot, support, and refund information during our review.

The live browser selector showed the 15-day Unlimited option at $49.99 and also offered 5-, 7-, 10-, 20-, 25-, and 30-day Unlimited durations. Prices can change with the selected duration, so confirm the exact package at checkout.

Saily says its China plan covers mainland China but not Hong Kong or Macau. It describes possible 3G, 4G, LTE, or 5G service depending on the local network, but it does not name the underlying mainland carrier.

The standard plan is data-only. Saily separately offers a paid US +1 number feature that requires identity verification; it is not a mainland Chinese number and is not included in the data prices above.

Hotspot use and manual top-ups are documented. Optional Auto Top-Up can add data after the active allowance is exhausted, although the provider warns that a top-up is charged at full price when the original plan used credits or a discount code.

Saily advises travelers to install the app and eSIM before departure, enable the eSIM and data roaming, and prevent the home line from using unwanted roaming data. Its current terms describe a 180-day activation window for standard non-subscription plans, although a separate help article still carries older 30-day wording. Follow the current checkout instructions rather than relying on a remembered setup date.

Support is available through 24/7 in-app live chat and email/tickets; Saily does not offer phone support. Non-activated plans may qualify for a full refund within 30 days under the current conditions. Once a plan is installed and activated, a full refund is not guaranteed.

Klook Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau eSIM: Useful for a Multi-Destination Trip

Klook activity 147957 covers mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau under one product. That makes it more relevant than a mainland-only product when the same itinerary crosses these three destinations.

The official product page lists:

• Total-data and daily-data package types.
• Options from 500 MB through 50 GB, plus Unlimited.
• Validity from one to 30 days.
• 5G/4G LTE wording.
• Hotspot sharing.
• Additional data that can be linked to the main eSIM.
• Data-only service.

Klook states that its Unlimited package uses 15 GB per day at full speed before reducing speed to 1 Mbps. However, the US product selector did not expose a reliable USD price during our review. Do not substitute a price from another Klook listing.

Installation is available through the Klook app, QR code, or manual SM-DP+ details. Klook says usage and validity begin when the eSIM connects to an overseas network. Data roaming must be enabled for the travel eSIM at the destination.

The product page advertises 24/7 support. It says cancellation before connection qualifies for a full refund. After activation, the result can depend on data use and Klook’s discretion; some cases may receive a partial refund and KlookCash rather than a full cash refund.

Klook markets this exact product for TikTok and AI-tool use, but it does not publish a traffic-routing diagram or guarantee every app and website. The product’s operator field says “Hong Kong” without naming a carrier.

Trip.com Mainland China eSIM: Broad Choice, More Checkout Verification

Trip.com’s US China connectivity marketplace currently lists product 53873746 as a mainland China 5G eSIM with daily or total-data plans, 24-hour billing, durations from one to 365 days, QR-code setup, hotspot capability, and free cancellation.

The marketplace displayed a limited-time “from $0.09” price on September 24, 2026. That is a promotional floor, not a representative package for a normal trip. The accessible product evidence did not reliably expose the selected-plan price, exact data allowance, fair-use rules, phone number or SMS inclusion, named network, top-up rules, or detailed cancellation cutoff.

Trip.com’s general eSIM guidance explains app, QR-code, and manual installation and says data roaming must be enabled for the travel eSIM. Those platform-level instructions should not be treated as exact terms for every marketplace supplier.

The exact listing names Google Maps and ChatGPT, but it does not publish a route, exit location, or universal access guarantee. Verify the selected package, supplier, installation instructions, and cancellation terms at checkout.

Because too many exact fields remained unpublished during our review, we do not score Trip.com above Saily or Klook. It remains a useful marketplace to inspect when you need a duration or package combination that the other two do not offer.

Does a China Travel eSIM Include a Chinese Phone Number?

Often it does not. The Saily standard plan and the Klook product reviewed here are data-only. Saily’s optional phone-number add-on provides a US +1 number, not a mainland Chinese number. Trip.com did not clearly publish the phone number, calls, and SMS fields for the exact product reviewed.

If a mainland Chinese number or local SMS verification is important, do not buy based on the word “China” alone. Compare a registered local SIM or another option whose exact product description explicitly includes the required service. Will a Travel eSIM Give Unrestricted Internet Access in China?

No provider should be treated as offering a universal guarantee unless it publishes and supports that exact promise for the selected product.

Travel eSIM traffic may be routed differently from an ordinary mainland local connection, but the provider pages reviewed here do not publish enough product-specific network architecture to guarantee access to every service. Saily documents an optional virtual-location feature; Klook advertises TikTok and AI-tool use; Trip.com’s listing names Google Maps and ChatGPT. These are not equivalent to a promise that every international service will work everywhere and at all times.

Check Your Phone Before Buying

A travel eSIM needs both:

• An eSIM-capable device model and regional variant.
• A carrier-unlocked phone that accepts another mobile plan.

Model names are not enough because regional versions can differ. Check the exact model in the phone settings and confirm compatibility with the manufacturer or provider. Many devices made for or sold in mainland China do not support eSIM in the same way as international variants.

Also check whether your phone supports dual-SIM use if you plan to keep the home line active for calls or messages. Turn off unwanted data roaming on the home line to avoid surprise charges.
